A Sense of Place exhibitions

There is an imperceptible change in the air as August comes to an end. The mornings fill the valleys with mist, colours become more subtle, I find it a more contemplative time and it is my favourite time to paint. Our new show ‘A Sense of Place’ has a reflective feel, it will evoke memories of the summers we used to have, aspirations of where we would like to be. Come along and be uplifted.

Featuring work by Erni Upton, landscapes in oil - superb work, Erni, a Scot himself, really is a master of colour like the Scottish colourists of old. Ceramicist Craig Underhill - beautiful sculptural ceramic vessels which have a real presence. Abstract paintings by Elizabeth Akehurst, still life paintings by Lesley Fisher, uplifting paintings by Penelope Timmis, intricate forms in porcelain by Timea Sido and solid silver jewellery by Amy Keeper
